Blackmagic Design Atem Sdi
The Blackmagic Design ATEM SDI is a compact live production switcher designed for professional SDI-based multi-camera workflows, combining four standards-converted 3G-SDI inputs with hardware switching, professional audio mixing, keying, graphics and USB webcam output.
Each of the four 3G-SDI inputs includes its own standards converter and input re-sync, allowing compatible cameras and video sources using different HD formats to be connected to the same production. This makes the ATEM SDI particularly useful for portable production systems where equipment from different sources needs to work together quickly.
Two 3G-SDI programme outputs provide professional video connectivity for monitors, recorders and other SDI equipment, while the USB-C connection allows the programme output to appear as a webcam source on a connected computer. This makes it possible to use the switcher with compatible streaming, conferencing and video software.
The built-in Fairlight audio mixer provides comprehensive control over embedded SDI audio and the two 3.5mm analogue audio inputs, including parametric EQ, compressor, limiter and gate processing.
For more advanced productions, the ATEM SDI includes picture-in-picture using its DVE, transitions, chroma keying for green-screen production, upstream and downstream keyers, and a media pool capable of storing up to 20 still graphics for titles and overlays.
ATEM Software Control for Mac and Windows is included, providing deeper control of switching, audio, graphics, keying and system configuration.
For professional users who prefer SDI connectivity over HDMI, the ATEM SDI provides an affordable and portable entry into multi-camera broadcast and live production.
