Blackmagic Design Atem Television Studio 4K8
The Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio 4K8 is a professional Ultra HD live production switcher that combines an 8-input 12G-SDI switcher with a full broadcast control panel in one integrated production system.
Designed for productions that have moved beyond basic HD switching, the ATEM Television Studio 4K8 supports both HD and Ultra HD workflows up to 2160p60. All eight 12G-SDI inputs include frame-rate and format conversion, allowing different compatible HD and Ultra HD sources to be connected while the switcher handles conversion into the production standard.
The integrated broadcast control surface gives operators direct physical access to source selection, transitions, keying, macros, downstream keys and other essential production controls. This creates a more efficient operating environment for permanent studios and professional live productions where relying entirely on software control is not ideal.
Connectivity is a major strength of the 4K8. Alongside its eight 12G-SDI inputs, it provides ten 12G-SDI auxiliary outputs for routing feeds to external recorders, monitors and other destinations. A four-port 10G Ethernet switch is also built in, giving the system significantly greater network capability for professional production environments.
Built-in live streaming, master recording, multiview monitoring, USB webcam output, two DVEs, SuperSource, four ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, two media players and professional talkback functionality turn the 4K8 into a complete live production platform rather than simply a video switcher.
