Blackmagic Design Decklink 8K Pro

The Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro G2 is a professional PCI Express capture and playback card built for high-end broadcast, post-production, digital cinema and next-generation 8K production workflows.

Four bi-directional 12G-SDI connections provide extensive professional video I/O, with support for SD, HD, Ultra HD, 4K and 8K standards. Depending on the workflow, these connections can also be configured for multi-channel capture and playback, making the card suitable for systems that need to handle multiple independent video feeds as well as extremely high-resolution formats.

HDMI 2.1 connectivity extends the card beyond SDI infrastructure, allowing professional workstations to interface with compatible high-resolution HDMI equipment and displays. The DeckLink 8K Pro G2 supports high frame rates up to 120 fps in HD and 4K and up to 60 fps in 8K.

For colour-critical workflows, support includes 8-bit and 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 as well as 10-bit and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 with full Rec. 2020 colour. HDR workflows are supported, including HLG, PQ and HDR static metadata, making the card particularly useful for modern grading, mastering and finishing environments.

The free DeckLink SDK can be used to configure up to four video streams in different directions, formats or frame rates up to 4K DCI 60p, providing significant flexibility for custom multi-channel production systems.
