The Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Recorder 4K is a professional low-profile PCI Express capture card designed to bring high-quality SDI and HDMI video directly into a compatible computer for recording, streaming and production workflows.

With dedicated 6G-SDI and HDMI 2.0a inputs, the DeckLink Mini Recorder 4K can capture SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p30. It also supports DCI 4K formats up to 25p, giving users a compact capture solution suitable for everything from standard HD production through to professional Ultra HD workflows.

Both SDI and HDMI inputs automatically detect supported incoming video formats, reducing the amount of manual configuration required when moving between different sources. This makes the card particularly useful in mobile capture systems, broadcast trucks, production workstations and permanent studio installations where different video standards may be encountered.

HDR recording is supported over both SDI and HDMI, including HLG and PQ transfer characteristics, while HDMI 2.0a supports HDR metadata and Deep Color. Rec. 2020 colour space support further extends the card’s usefulness for modern Ultra HD and HDR production environments.

Embedded professional audio is captured alongside the video, with up to 16 channels available through SDI and 8 channels through HDMI. This helps keep video and audio together through a single connection and simplifies integration into professional production systems.
