Canon CR-N350 4K NDI PTZ Camera with 20x Zoom
The Canon CR-N350 is a professional 4K PTZ camera designed for broadcast, live production, education, corporate AV, houses of worship and streaming environments. It combines a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor with Canon’s DIGIC DV7 image processor to deliver detailed UHD 4K imagery, accurate colour reproduction and dependable performance across a wide range of production workflows.
A 20x optical zoom lens provides a versatile 35mm-equivalent focal range of approximately 29.3mm to 601mm. When producing in Full HD, Canon’s 40x Advanced Zoom extends the equivalent reach to approximately 1202mm while maintaining greater image quality than conventional digital enlargement. Optical image stabilisation helps produce steady footage when the camera is installed in environments affected by vibration or movement.
Canon’s advanced Hybrid AF system combines phase-detection and contrast-detection autofocus technology for fast and reliable focusing. Face, eye and head detection help maintain focus on presenters, speakers and other subjects, even when they turn away from the camera.
The CR-N350 supports professional 3G-SDI, HDMI, USB-C and IP video workflows. Its network capabilities include NDI HX2, SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, RTP, RTSP, Canon XC and FreeD. PoE++ enables compatible installations to carry power, video, audio, camera control and tally information through a single network cable.
Built-in Auto Tracking Lite provides basic automatic subject tracking without requiring a separate computer. The camera also supports Canon’s paid Auto Tracking and Auto Loop applications for more advanced automated production workflows. These applications run directly on the camera, simplifying system design and reducing the need for external processing hardware.
The CR-N350 supports HDR production using PQ and HLG, together with Canon Log 3 and Wide Dynamic Range picture settings. This makes it easier to match the camera with other Canon production cameras and accommodate demanding lighting conditions.
A vertical crop function can generate a separate 9:16 composition from the main camera image, allowing content to be prepared for social media platforms while the main production continues in a conventional widescreen format.
