Master 40

Cartoni Master 40 is a broadcast fluid head for heavy camera packages, including setups built around boxed lenses and viewfinders. Its verified 5–52 kg payload range and steel-cable counterbalance suit a production position where the complete camera assembly needs support while the operator follows a shot.

Continuous Planetary fluid drag adjusts the resistance for pan and tilt movements. The ±90° tilt range provides substantial vertical framing movement, and the digital readouts and illuminated spirit level help with checking the setup. A sliding camera platform with quick release supports camera positioning on the head.

The flat Mitchell base requires a compatible tripod or platform. Cartoni specifies the dovetail camera plate as a separate purchase, so the supplier’s reference to a dovetail plate should not be taken as confirmation that one is included. The confirmed package consists of the head, telescopic pan bar and tie-down knob.
